Wine-tasting

 

  Tasting wine is just like tasting –tea, and if you only care about romance and know nothing about the ceremony, it just like a cattle drink canal.

  Just like you need to flirt before attentiveness, the movements before tasting wine shall not be omitted. The purpose is to make process run through heart and make people pleasure. Usually, the method to taste wine is like tea, which are nothing more than observation with vision, smell and taste.

  After you uncork a bottle, some wine will bloom like flower, you can enjoy it immediately. But for wine with less ages or crude taste, you need to open its sleeping heart with the process of decanting. For aging wine with too many sediments, you can treat it by changing bottles. But these process shall not take too much time to prevent lost of wine flavor.

  Temperature of wine is very important. Generally speaking, the temperature for tasting white wine is between 10-16℃, while that for the red wine is higher. While the temperature for tasting sweet wine may be lower, and that for sparkling wine may be between 7-9℃. But vintage Champagne is an exception. It shall not be tasted under low temperature, for its delicate flavor may be stuck and couldn’t be released.

  Everything is set and prepared for action. The influence of wine glass to the wine is shall not be neglected. Choosing wine glass is an important link for tasting wine. The flavor of wine will be different while being poured into different kinds of wine glasses. Its flavor will be different according to the shape of the wine glass. The diameter of glass, length of body, the width of the rim and even the thickness of wine glass will have subtle influence to the flavor of the wine.
