Xixia Culture Park is key investment attraction project of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, as well as another top-grade cultural tourism project that combines cultural tourism and relaxation developed by Hangzhou Aohai Holdings in Yinchuan following the projects of Mingcui Spring, Aohai Qinghefang, and Aohai Lanting. The project is located in Xixia district, Yinchuan city, next to Xigan Channel in the east, air force railway in the south, National Highway 110 in the west and Beijing West Road in the north. The area has a good public transport network and beautiful environment. The park, together with the resort of Xixia Imperial Tombs, Zhenbeibu Western China Film Studios, Helan Mountain Resort, Gunzhongkou Resort, etc. has formed a golden tourism zone, which is a highlight of eastern Helan Mountain area culture tourism belt and big Yinchuan tourism circle.
The culture park covers a land of over 2,500mu, including over 300mu of water area, and it is a top-level cultural tourism and relaxation resort that combines the functions of culture display, deep experience, special resort, leisure and sports, ecological plantation, etc. Xixia Culture Park has displayed the Xixia culture in full view while integrating culture and tourism. It takes the eight major tribes (the Tuoba’s, the Miqin’s, the Yeli’s, the Fangdang’s, the Pochao’s, the Wangli’s, the Feiting’s and the Xifeng’s) of Tangut nationality of the ancient Xixia Empire as the prototypes of eight fortresses in the park. The park organically combines ancient Xixia culture such as agriculture, printing, pottery, nomadism, military affairs, brewing, etc. with modern civilization, including five-star hotel, lake resort villa, ski (grass-ski) resort, golf training, recreational fishing center, outward training, children entertainment, etc. through five main regions, namely Dream Back to Xixia, Statecraft Xixia, Competition in Xiaxia, Modern Xixia and Appreciation Xixia, and takes cultural gourmet street and camping area as the supporting facilities of tourism destination, with the aim of creating a national level AAAAA tourism resort.
The buildings in the park condense the quintessence of the Xixia buildings, with both magnificent royal buildings and leisure humble cottages in the lake side and woods. In this park, tourists can find exquisite Xixia architectural art; the landscape in the park is delicate with beautiful scenery, with both boundless northern-frontier scene and Jiangnan style bridges and waters. Pavilions are spreading in the park, with bird’s twitter and fragrance of flowers here and there. It is a tremendous place for tour and sightseeing.
Among the theme parks that displayed the mysterious Xixia Empire, Xixia Culture Park is presently the one with the most investment and covers the largest area of land. It has displayed the Xiaxia Empire in full view, and is not comparable in aspects of geographical advantage, scale, contents, etc. We are planning to develop the park into a domestic famous tourism resort in three years, making it a business card of tourism in Ningxia, and a must-see place for domestic tourists visiting Ningxia.
